Though it was a challenging year for some producers, Materra had the opportunity to select fruit from the heart of Rutherford. Harvest was a little later which allowed for intense fruit flavors, deep color and a superb aroma of ripe dark fruit, sage and vanilla. This Cabernet exemplifies classic Rutherford Dust characteristics with fine dry tannins resulting in flavors of black cherry, dark cocoa powder and earthy tones for a smooth and balanced finish. Pair with braised short ribs, seared duck breast with blackberry sauce, or roasted asparagus with mushrooms. 85% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Petit Verdot, 5% Merlot, 1% Malbec, 1% Cabernet Franc
